No. 1 Nebraska volleyball sweeps in-state rival No. 20 Creighton
No. 1 Nebraska (8-0) volleyball squared off and swept (25-13, 25-15, 25-19) No. 20 Creighton (5-5) at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 16. This was the 25th meeting between the two teams, and the Huskers have been a perfect 24-for-24 against the Bluejays, but the two teams have pushed each other to five-set thrillers in three of the last four contests. Entering the game, Creighton was on a two-game losing streak, with losses to No. 5 Louisville (1-3) and Rice (1-3). However, the Bluejays’ 5-4 record is somewhat misleading, as they have quality wins over No. 9 Purdue (3-2) and No. 20 USC (3-1).

It was business as usual for the Huskers as they sent the Bluejays home in three sets for the first time since 2021. Nebraska remains perfect with a 25-0 record all-time in the I-80 Rivalry. The Huskers now move to 8-0 on the year and continue to prove that they are the best team in the country.
